Foreign caregivers will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 work hours per week, and for the October salary, they will receive between 1.54 million and 2.29 million won.

Even considering the Chuseok holidays, 85 out of 98 workers worked more than 40 hours per week, resulting in their October salary (for work done in September).

The average salary is expected to be around 1.8 million won.

The report claiming that “they are likely to receive less than 1 million won in October” is not true.

Seoul City and the Ministry of Employment and Labor have decided to improve the salary payment schedule for household caregivers from once a month (on the 20th) to twice a month (on the 10th and 20th), starting this month. According to the service providers, the exact salary amount for October will be finalized in mid-October, based on the individual working hours.
